Day-to-Day
Leisure related therapy and the promotion of contentment are integral parts of the day-to-day comforts provided at Mansfield Manor. Therapy in the form of handicrafts, music and movement sessions offer both pleasure and exercise to residents. During the summer season outings and holidays are regularly arranged. For relaxation, musical evenings and film shows bring that extra degree of interest and variety to our residents’ way of life.
A wide and varied menu is available with all tastes and special dietary requirements catered for. Meals can be taken in the dining room, or if residents prefer, they can be served in the comfort of their own room. There is a choice of cooked breakfast, an appetizing midday meal and supper in the evenings. Home-made cakes, biscuits, fruit and drinks are offered throughout the day.
Our Organisation
To make sure that relationships are personal there is a key worker for each resident. It’s the job of the key worker to make the move to Mansfield Manor as easy as possible and to make sure that every resident gets the best out of the home.
In the quest for the highest standards of care, we are committed to ensuring that our staff are highly trained to give our residents the finest quality care. The staff are chosen after rigorous selection process to ensure they have the necessary characteristics such as patience, kindness, honesty and sense of humour.
All the staff are recognised as highly valued members of our team and ongoing training is provided with the opportunity to gain nationally recognised qualifications. The home manager and the owners hold the prestigious Registered Managers’ Award. A team of highly qualified RGN Nurses are led by an experienced Nurse Manager. The owner has an active daily input in to monitoring of care standards to give a further quality assurance benchmark.
Mealtimes at Mansfield Manor
Our menus are produced by our Head Chef. Locally sourced and seasonal products form part of our nutritious dishes and will tempt any appetite. Mealtimes are eagerly anticipated here. We always create restaurant standard dishes, and we pride ourselves that we cater to each of our resident’s specific tastes.
Mealtimes at Mansfield Manor are flexible. There’s a Night Bites menu for those who like a snack before bed. And friends and family are encouraged to visit to share precious moments in our bright and beautifully designed dining room or enjoy tea/coffee outside during the warm summer days.
